Amani Smith is originally from Washington, DC and is now based out of Wilmington, NC.
He is a well-known guitarist singer, and songwriter who has been performing in the United States and abroad for over three decades. He has recorded, toured, and performed with many international legendary artists such as, The Itals, Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill, Julian Marley, Kymani Marley, Edge Michael, Soul Defender Posse, Peter Broggs, Michael Jackson, H. R. (BAD BRAINS), Eddy Hazell (Parliament Funkadelic), Meshell Ndegeocello, and more.
Amani brings his musical and life learned experiences to light with the release of his first solo album, Songs From The Film of Life, which debuts on April 1, 2018. Amani Smith backed by the Give Thanks Band is a must see mesmerizing performance not to be missed!
The sun is out, the fun is back, and the “Bands by the Beach” are once again ready to rock, groove, swing and swoon their way through the soundtrack of your perfect summer! For 16 weeks on Fridays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Middleton Park Ampitheater, we turn the amps up to “11” and come together for the annual Town of Oak Island Summer Concert Series.
